Earth Day Poems

The Greenest Poems in the Land!

Jake Landis
Our little, blue marble

Earth, seemingly nothing in the vast beyond,
Held together by an invisible emotional bond,
For the world we must, care!
Selfishness will plummet us into despair.
If the people of Earth learn to love,
they will see the bigger picture we are all part of.
War brings sorrow to all,
Why can't the people of Earth take pride and stand Tall?

Fanaticism

If the people of the world would work together,
we would not have to fret over the world of tomorrow
Many believe that the afterlife will save,
that there is no need to take care of what we have,
but they do not see what is right,
what we should do for future generations,
for the beauty of Earth will not stand without a guardian,
a protector of the treasure bestowed upon us by nature,
a responsible human,
as curious as it may be,
can save the world,
all you have to do is believe.

Selfish
Why do we only think of ourselves in such a careless manner?
How come we can't work together for long?
People need to help not hurt,
bring us slowly together,
person by person,
day by day,
to save,
Earth.
