One good Earth Day project idea is to clean up your neighborhood. Organize a group of friends, family, or neighbors, and meet sometime early in the morning. If you can get a group of more then five, split yourselves up into groups of three to five. Send different groups into different places around your neighborhood. After everyone is finished with their designated area, have everyone meet at a specified place. Then you can all go together to get lunch (it will probably be lunchtime by then) to socialize and reward yourselves for all your hard work. After lunch, repeat the same process and then meet in a specified place again. This time, go get dinner as a group. Discuss what all you, as a group, have accomplished. You will be surprised at how much area you have covered. Then you will begin to realize what a difference you can make in one day.
Another good Earth Day project is to free yourself from all technology whatsoever and go outside with your family. As technology can be a good thing, it still uses power. Therefore, try to encourage everyone you can to join you. Go to the park and have fun with your family. Plan a picnic in the middle of the day. This will not only conserve Earth, it will increase family bonding and the strength of the family. Remember, however, you do not have to do this solely with family, as friends are a great idea too. Encourage people not to use their cellular phone unless an emergency arises.
As you can see, there plenty of ways you can make a difference. Try to give back as much as you can. Just a little bit that you do could change the world. It will definitely help out your community. Many people are giving back, so why not you. It may not always be fun, and sometimes it may. It will make you feel good on the inside even if, after you are done, you don't look the best on the outside. The same rule, "it is what is on the inside that counts" applies perfectly here. Always remember, You can make a difference.
