Earth Tones Can Make You a Bronzed Goddess When the Sun Didn't
On those sweltering summer days, no woman wants heavy foundation on her face. This is the time when tinted moisturizers and bronzers are a girl's best friend. Apply your tinted moisturizer (one with SPF 15 or higher) first. Then lightly dust your face with your bronzer. I say lightly because you should go for a natural glow. If you are unsure about your skill with dusting on the right amount of bronzer, then shake or dust a little onto your hand and mix in with your tinted moisturizer for a slight dewy-faced glow.

Earth Tones Can Create a Natural or Dramatic Look for Summer Eyes
Eyes of all shades look beautiful in earthy hues from earthen browns, beachy tones like sand to earthy green like grass and moss. During the day, keep eye makeup simple with earth toned makeup. Apply one earthy shade like taupe or terracotta to the lid and maybe a lighter one to the brow bone such as a golden beige or champagne. One sweep of black or brown/black mascara and a thin line of black or brown eyeliner to frame the eyes create a simple day look.
At night, add drama to the eyes by creating a smoky eye look in deeper browns, earthy greens or deep purples like raisin and eggplant. A great transition from your day look to night is to simply take a dark brown, eggplant or dark green eyeshadow or eyeliner and line the eyes with it. After you line, take your pinky finger and gently smudge the lower lash line. Apply two extra coats of mascara to thicken your lashes and make your eyes pop. Or for a completely new night eye look, use a wet/dry shadow in an earth tone, apply to your lid wet to create a "foil" look on your eye that has tons of shine. Use a liquid liner to create a thick line along the upper lash line and apply a lengthening mascara to create a dramatic fringe for your eyes.

Earth Tones Make Lips Luscious for Summer
During the spring, paler lips in neutral tones or bright matte lips were the trend but for summer lips, earthen tones make for a luscious pout. Glosses are summer-friendly and complement the bronzed glow the face has during the summer months. Shades such as brown sugar, shimmering corals, golden beiges and copper are ideal. If a lip gloss does not pack enough punch for you apply a shimmering or creamy lipstick in an earthy shade and top it with a gloss for high impact shine. The high shine look is great for evening, especially when paired with the dramatic foil eye.

If you are living your life like its golden, you may as well look the part with summer makeup in earth tones. These suggestions are only a few ways to create an earthy glow for summer. Play around with different eye shadows and lip shades in earthen hues to create any radiant look you'd like. The choice is yours.
