-Three Rivers Valley Development is building 19 condos in the downtown Greenville area. The condos will be built according to EarthCraft standards.

-EarthCraft is a green home building program. EarthCraft builds healthy homes and reduces utility bills and protect the environment.

-EarthCraft's goals is to "help home builders be leaders in smart growth management and environmental stewardship."

-EarthCraft homes are constructed to minimize impact on the environment while providing owners a healthy home that holds its value.

EarthCrafts benefits:

The normal home energy sources can add to global warming and other serious problems that earth is having. Also, some building materials used can lead to the depletion of natural resources. "EarthCraft House can increase the energy efficiency of a home by 30% which can result in a reduction of over 1100 pounds of greenhouse gases introduced into the atmosphere each year."

Only a few homes have been built in such manners in Greenville, SC because the concept is new to the area.
