Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment - Good, But Not The Best

What I Thought About Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment

Chey Conner
I have tried out eight different diaper creams on my baby boy.

The Diaper Creams I Have Tried in Alphabetical Order

Aveeno Baby Diaper Rash Cream
Burt's Bees Baby Bee, Diaper Ointment with Vitamin A and Vitamin E
Common Sense Baby Cream
Desitin Zinc Oxide Diaper Rash Ointment Creamy
Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment
Johnson's No More Diaper Rash
Safeway Brand Diaper Relief Ointment
Weleda Diaper-Care

One of the diaper creams that I used on him was the Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment.

I am a fan of the Earth's Best Organic Shampoo and Body Wash so when someone gave me the Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment as a gift I was looking forward to using it. It had a standard warning, which I expected, however the ingredients, 70% organic, were what I was most curious about.

Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment Ingredients

Zinc oxide, lavender extract, caprylic/caprictriglyceride, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, sorbitan isostearate, sorbitan sesquioleate, purified water, ethylhexyl palmitate, calcium starch octenylsuccinate, ethyl macadamiate, stearalkonium hectorite, glyceryl laurate, oat kernel oil, tocopheryl acetate (Vit E), beta glucan, chamomile flower extract*, marigold flower extract*, propylenecarbonate, magnesium sulfate, benzyl alcohol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate
*Certified Organic

Well I was surprised that there were so many different ingredients, and what some of them were. Propylenecarbonate is an organic chemical that can be harmful if inhaled and is flammable, what the heck is it doing in Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment, it isn't in any of the other diaper creams that I have tried. Now while C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate sounds like it might be an android from a galaxy far, far away it is actually non-toxic and non-sensitizing.

As far as how well the diaper cream works, you can't be shy with Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment. In order to get rid of a diaper rash you really have to spread it on thick. It is a bit watery, at least when you first open the tube. It takes a couple days to get rid of a diaper rash and that is always frustrating.

My overall rating for Earth's Best out of 4 stars would be:

The big question on everyone's mind is would I buy it again. It would be my fourth choice, I would hope that I wouldn't have to get it, but if for some reason I really needed diaper cream I guess I would get Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment if the store did not carry my first three choices.

So it is established that Earth's Best Organic Diaper Relief Ointment isn't the best diaper cream that I have used, review the series to find out which one isand which diaper creams are definite ones to avoid. Simply click on the author's name to see the other diaper cream reviews.

Have you tried Nature's Boundaries? It has some awesome ingredients and works very quickly like overnight!

That was very informative. I hope it helps some moms choose their diaper rash creams well. :-)
