EAS Myoplex Lite Chocolate Chip Crisp Bar Works Great After a Good Workout

Susan Slade
On one of the free sites, I was able to get a coupon for a free Myoplex product. I can't remember exactly how much they allowed for the purchase, but I was able to get a box of four Myoplex Lite Chocolate Chip Crisp bars at Walmart for free. The retail price was $4.97.

I started Core Boxing classes at the beginning of May and decided to take a bar with me. My lessons are from 11 a.m. until noon. I eat a bowl of cereal or oatmeal at least two hours before my workout.

My first workout was intense, and as soon as I had finished, I drank water and ate a bar of Myoplex Lite. My energy levels didn't dip, and I was able to swim in the afternoon and go dancing in the evening.

On Monday I had my sixth class. It was so intense that after 40 minutes, I had to stop, have water and eat half of my bar. I had another drink of water, and within three minutes was back to the routine. It was one of the hardest workouts I have ever had. I was sweating so much, and I rarely sweat, so ate the rest of the bar while heading to my vehicle.

The Myoplex Lite Chocolate Chocolate Chip Crisp bar is individually wrapped. The size of the bar is 1.9 ounce (54 gram). The bar is three and three quarters of an inch x two and a quarter inches x half and inch. The bottom is a chocolate cookie, and on top is chocolate puffed rice, and tiny chocolate chips.

Holding the bar in my hand the bottom is covered in chocolate, and then biting into the bar it has a softness at the bottom, and then is really crunchy on the top. It does taste of chocolate, but not gourmet chocolate, just the generic kind. The bar is filing, and only 190 calories.

It states on the box; "Don't waste your workout. Take within 30 minutes or less, or take after 2 hours or more." This is to refuel the body and to build lean muscle.

"The Myoplex Lite bar has 63% less fat than the Myoplex Mass bar. Provides: 15 grams of protein 43 percent less fat and 44 percent fewer calories than Myoplex Deluxe nutrition bars Excellent source of 22 vitamins and minerals."

I eat a little cereal, or oatmeal for breakfast, perhaps a piece of fruit for lunch, and then an evening meal. As a walk, swim, and exercise during the day, I can become lightheaded, or shaky. This is when a Myoplex Lite bar works great for me. If I have a Yoplait Whip that is 160 to 180 calories, it doesn't fill me up, but for an extra 10 to 30 calories I can consume a Lite bar, enjoy it, and be really full.
