East Coast Vacations: Tampa, Florida

The key to a vacation for two is romance. Not only do you want a beautiful room, but you also want a variety of restaurants to choose from. Whether it you want low-key or a five star restaurant you will find a little of everything while in Tampa, Florida.

The beauty about Tampa is that not only is it one of Florida's largest cities but Tampa is a hubbub of activity. Whether you want to go to Busch Gardens, which is the area's largest theme park. If you are looking for excitement, look no further. Not only are there rides at this theme park, but parents and kids will not leave disappointed by the variety of things to do. You will no doubt enjoy the African themed theme park!

The glass domed Florida Aquarium is home to thousands of animals. Whether you want to see some sharks, eels, or tropical fish you will want to make this a must see while you are in Tampa. There are a variety of habitats including freshwater and saltwater.

The Tampa Theatre which was built in 1926 offers a variety of music, plays, and films. Check the Tampa Theatre site for specific times.

The Lowry Zoo Park is another must see. The Zoo has a Florida Wildlife center that talks about all the animals that live in Florida including the alligator, the Florida Panther, and the Manatee.

Tampa is very much a sports city. Some of the different sports include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL football team); the Tampa Bay Devil Rays which play at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg (just across the bay).

No matter what you are looking to do, Tampa has a little of everything. With the ocean not far away, there are always the sunny afternoons that are best spend lazing on the beach. Take the evening and head to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center for a dramatic evening. No matter what you decide to do, Tampa is a wonderful way to spend any vacation.
