The park is also home to a host of other animals. You can see ducks, geese and swan on their pond. The park also boasts a nice aquarium that is home to fish, lizards, spiders and snakes. You can time to visit with their pet ferrets and parrot. The Park holds a rehab permit which means they can have all types of many different animals at any given time.
The Gator Park has plans for a nice pavilion that will be great for parties. It is due to be completed by Summer 2009. The park has many tables inside and out that can be reserved.They have an excellent party package that includes the whole works of a birthday party. Everything from admission, to cake and ice cream. The Gator Park is a great attraction for field trips. Schools, churches or any organization can call ahead and arrange for a field trip there. The kids will have a great time and it will be very educational. The park has a fun barnyard petting zoo for the kids to enjoy. The barnyard is actually made from an old barn that was torn down.
The park has an admission fee of $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids and seniors. It is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to dusk year round. The park is also available for private parties after hours.
While you are at the park you can enjoy a great meal from The Grill. They serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, nachos and frito pie. They also serve up a gator k bob. Yeah, you guessed it, it is made with real gator meat! They are delicious! I tasted one when I was there. In the colder months you can get a taste of their delicious deer chili and have hot cocoa to warm you up.
The East Texas Gators & Wildlife Park is a fun attraction to be enjoyed by the whole family. Take advantage of the summer time and come on and check it out. You will be glad you did!

Post a CommentTook the family to go zip lining in Canton and the folks at Wired suggested the gator park as something else we might enjoy. The kids really enjoyed it and it was the perfect addition to our day of Adventure.
