We gathered at church
Our hearts and souls were bared
Honoring Christ
For us sinners He spared.
Our hearts and souls were bared
Honoring Christ
For us sinners He spared.
We shared a feast
Amongst family and friends
The abundance of food
Never came to an end.
We watched children play
Listened and spoke
As the older children played football
Until a window was broke.
The evening came to an end
All too soon
As we said our good-byes
'Neath the pale moon.
