Easter Birthday Party Treats
Instead of a traditional cake for your child's Easter birthday you can serve Easter themed treats. Perhaps cupcakes set out with Easter themed decorations would be more fun to eat. Or why not serve Easter egg shaped and decorated rice krispies treats? If you do decide to go with a cake you can decorate with Easter themed decorations such as jelly beans or break a hollow chocolate bunny into pieces to top the cake with.
Easter Birthday Party Games
While Easter egg hunting may seem like a good idea you may want to keep this activity separate from your child's Easter themed birthday party. While it may be fun to share a birthday with a holiday a child might not feel special if you make the traditional holiday activities become their birthday party activities. Instead you can change it up and turn it into a lot of fun for your child and their guests. Instead of hunting for Easter eggs your child and their friends can use them for a less messier version of egg toss. You can fill a plastic pool with plastic Easter eggs with only a selected amount containing Easter themed prizes and treats. Instead of pin the tail on the donkey the children can play pin the tail on the Easter bunny. It's easy to take traditional birthday party games and modifying them to fit into a holiday theme.
Easter Birthday Party Food
Now is a good time to use up those Easter eggs to keep them from spoiling in the fridge. Deviled eggs make the perfect party food as they can be eaten by hand and are very portable. I know that my kids love whenever I make them. A trail mix can be fun to make using jelly beans, pretzels, cheese crackers, and some raisins. Easter ham cut into small circles, swiss and cheddar cheese, and round crackers can combine to make a delicious and filling finger food for the birthday party.
When handing out goodie bags for your Easter party you can use small plastic Easter baskets filled with Easter themed treats and prizes for a nice touch. For some added fun for your birthday party you and your child can cut out bunny ears from construction paper and staple or tape them to the birthday party hats.
Using these ideas your child is sure to have a fun Easter themed birthday that they won't soon forget.
