Try this yummy and simple Easter Bunny cake and your friends and family may be renaming you chef!

Ingredients:

Yellow cake mix (follow box directions for other ingredients)

White icing

Red/strawberry icing (or a different color of your choosing for the bow tie)

Shredded Coconut

Green and pink (or red used lightly) food coloring

Jelly beans

Black licorice

Cardboard cake server (to place the cake on)

Directions:

Bake the yellow cake mix according to the directions on the box. Use two round cake pans.

Use the green food coloring to color some of the shredded coconut green.

Use the red/pink food coloring to color some of the shredded coconut pink

Leave a larger amount of the coconut white

Leave one of the round cakes whole

From the other round cake cut out one rabbit ear from each side of the cake. This should appear as a narrow oval with a pointed end. After cutting these out you will be left with the middle of the cake that will be used as a bow tie for the bunny

Place the whole cake in the middle of the cardboard. Place the two ears at the top and the bow tie piece underneath

Cover the head (whole circle) and ears with white icing. Sprinkle white coconut all over the head and the ears (except for the middle section). Sprinkle pink coconut in the middle section of the ears.

Use two jelly beans for the eyes and one for the nose (black works well). Use the black licorice for the whiskers.

Use the colored icing to cover the bow tie.

Use the green coconut to sprinkle around the cake onto the cardboard. This will add an extra effect to the cake to resemble grass.

Cut, eat, and enjoy!
