The Goddess, Eastre, was worshiped by Anglo-Saxons, and was known by her unique symbol, of the rabbit. The Germans were actually the first country to recognize the rabbit as an Easter symbol, and spread Bunny Cheer throughout the world, including America. Santa Claus has nothing to do with anything neither does the Easter Bunny .Have you ever noticed how easy it is to transform "Satan" from "Santa"? You can rearrange SANTA to spell SATAN and it is fitting Santa has all the attributes of God. Santa has replaced God in the lives of "Santa-worshipping" children. Santa is Satan's counterfeit of the Lord Jesus Christ. . Halloween's another big holiday satanic holiday
Satan's attack is not necessarily evil, or bad. In fact, it can be good, or even pleasant. The temptation of Genesis reveals Satan's clever "good and pleasant" message.
Genesis 3:6: And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
It is a parent's responsibility to teach their children the truth, not a lie. Easter bunnies and rabbits are pagan and should not be taught in any Christian home. No Christian church should have anything to do with these pagan practices. Like how a true Christian parent does not teach their children to smoke or drink alcohol or any bad habits likewise they should not encourage Easter bunnies, Santa clause, Halloween etc.
Being addicted to any kind of bad habit is certainly sin, because it is a lack of self-control (Galatians 5:23). 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Why would you teach them about these pagan human practices which are also called cultural practices? I know that Easter isn't about bunnies and egg hunting, Jesus said, "THY WORD IS TRUTH." Anything outside the word of God is truth mingled with a lie.
We are surrounded in this world with different religions and cultures our culture which practices human traditions and Jesus warned about such Human traditions and practices.
We celebrate Holidays here in this country that have nothing to do with the Bible at all.
He rebuked the scribes Pharisees for their use of traditions Mark 7:1-13.
For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men- the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do."
He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. Mark 7:8-9
"... teach my people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean." Ezekiel 34:23
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priests for Me; because you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your children." Hosea 4:6
"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good." Romans 12:9
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8
Christ had no problem recognizing how they had substituted their traditions for the doctrines of the written Word of God! These many traditions are not merely an addition to God's written word, but a substitution for what is written. People today become offended when God's truth does not agree with their traditional beliefs.
The same result occurred back when Christ walked with His disciples. We can read where Christ's disciples brought word to Him that the Pharisees were offended by His denunciation of them. "Then came His disciples, and said unto Him, 'know you that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?' But He answered and said, 'every plant, which my heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch'" (Matt. 15:12-14). Christ is saying that these Pharisees profess to be authorities in spiritual matters, but are blind to the truth and spiritual realities just as the people they were leading. True Easter is to celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Post a CommentShaila, I see what you are saying. Children will find out in the long run anyway. Why story to them if the true story ought to be about Jesus' birth, life, death and resurrection. That's the greatest story of all anyway, isn't it. Nice article. You're so talented my friend. You go girl! Blessings. : - )
