Easter Celebrations

All over the world, celebrations are made
With carnivals, egg hunts and fancy parades.
Welcoming springtime, goodbye winter blues!
Men in their suits and shined-up good shoes
Girls wear new dresses, light pink and so frilly
As Moms get their sweaters because it's still chilly.
Some wear a hat; some call it a bonnet,
With flowers, and lace, and ribbons upon it.

There's joy as those celebrate resurrection and life
Free from hell's door and eternal strife.
Bought by the price the Father's Lamb paid
To ensure life could be lived for those who have strayed.
So whether there are lace hats and dresses brand new
Or watching parades with people waving at you,
The Easter message for Christians is all that is right
That Jesus Christ lives, and is the Truth and the Light.
