Easter Chick Crafts: Fuzzy Easter Chick Magnets

These simple Easter chic magnets are a fun Easter craft for those of you out there who love little yellow Easter chicks as much as you do the bunny! This is a simple Easter magnet craft perfect for kids of all ages!

Tip: You can use these same Easter chick magnet ideas to make the good old Easter bunny into a magnet as well!

To Make an Easter Chick Craft Magnet You Will Need:

Foam Core Board

Yellow Fake Fur

Glue

Magnet Strips

Ribbon

Googly Eye

Orange Fun Foam

To get started you want to cut out an oval on a piece of paper. This is the body of the Easter chick, so make it the size you want.

Trace the oval onto a piece of foam core board. At the bottom of the oval you want to draw on some feet. Simply upside down puffy letter Y's will do. Make sure these are cut out attached to the oval, they are the feet.

Tip: Use brown foam core board to make brown feet. Also orange works well.

You also want to travel the oval onto the back of the yellow fake fur. Cut each one out. Tip: Cut the yellow fake fur out slightly larger, about 1/8 if an inch.

Now, glue your strips of magnets onto the back of the oval foam core board. Use a strong glue for this even if the magnets are self adhering. The glue on them often does not hold up over time.

Now, paint some glue on the back of the yellow oval. Right on the back side of the fake fur.

Pre this onto the front to the foam core board oval. Press the extra edges over onto the sides. Let this sit and dry completely.

Now, you have the Easter chick body and feet, you want to add the arms. I like to simply cut out two small ovals form the same fake fur.

Glue one onto each side often body. Have most of the wind on the body and only a little sticking out.

Now, glue some googly eyes light on the front middle of the Easter chic magnet craft. Right above the wings.

Cut out a piece of fun foam or felt in orange in a triangle. Glue on as the beak on the magnet.

Tip: You can make some cute tiny glasses out of floral wire and spry them black. Glue them onto the Easter chick magnet for another detail!
