The name Easter comes from the Anglo-Saxon Goddess Eastre who was the Goddess of hare and eggs. The egg has been a symbol of rebirth since early times. If you ask kids what their favorite part of a chocolate Easter bunny they eat first, it is the ears. Red jelly beans are the favorite thing to pick out of the Easter basket.
