Egg Carton Easter Baskets
A 12-egg carton yields 3 "baskets."
Egg carton
Scissors
Awl or pencil (something to make a hole)
18-gauge paper- or cloth-wrapped wire
Needle-nose pliers
Craft glue
Ribbon
Easter grass and candy

1. Cut carton into 3 sections of 4. Create two holes in each tray, at the center of each side, for the handles. 2. Cut an 18-inch length of wire. Push ends of wire into holes, creating a handle, and bend back ends with pliers to secure.
3. Glue ribbon onto top edge of basket. If desired, fill with Easter grass and candy.

Berry Easter Baskets
Reuse the plastic baskets fresh berries come in by turning them into cute Easter goodie holders.

1. Join two pipe cleaners together end to end to make a handle. Glue a bow at the top to hide where the pipe cleaners twist to join.
2. Weave narrow ribbon or construction paper strips through the slats, using white craft glue to secure the ends.
3. Fill the bottom of the basket with Easter grass and add candy eggs, jellybeans, cookies, and a toy.

Bunny Ears
White poster board
Pink construction paper
White craft/school glue
Tape or stapler
Easter stickers, markers, crayons; optional

1. Cut a strip of poster board about 2" wide by about 24" long. 2. Cut out 2 ears out of poster board each about 8 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide. 3. Cut out 2 smaller ear shapes out of pink construction paper. Glue these inside the white ears. 4. Glue the ears inside the band, positioning to fit behind the child's head.
5. Let the child decorate the head band with stickers, markers, or crayons if they want.
6. Tape or staple the band to fit the child's head. Cut off any excess.

Bunny Mask
paper plate
pink construction paper
pink and/or white pipe cleaners
yarn

1. Cut out eyes and nose holes in the paper plate.
2. Cut out bunny ears from pink paper and glue to the plate.
3. Use pipe cleaners to make whiskers. Attach to plate by poking through and knotting at back, or gluing on.
4. Make one small hole on each side of mask. Tie yarn onto one hole. Adjust length to fit child's head and tie other side, cutting off excess.

Easter Egg Tree
Fill a decorative container or vase with pebbles and water and make an arrangement using any type of fresh-cut branches, such as magnolia, forsythia or cherry blossom.
Hang plastic eggs, paper eggs or blown-out decorated egg shells from branches with ribbon.

Easter Wind Sock
Card stock
Markers, crayons or construction paper
Pastel colored crepe streamers
Yarn
Hole punch
Stapler

1. Let child decorate card stock with Easter images like bunnies, chicks, eggs, and flowers using markers, crayons, or shapes cut from construction paper.
2. Staple or tape streamers onto bottom edge of card stock.
3. Roll card stock into cylinder and staple ends together.
4. Punch 2 holes on opposite sides of top of cylinder.
5. Thread yarn through holes and make loop to hang wind sock.

Paper Lily
Construction paper
Green pipe cleaners or straws
Tape or glue
Stapler

1. Trace child's hand on yellow or white construction paper and cut out.
2. Curl the fingers outward around a pencil.
3. Form a cone with the palm of the hand cutout. Glue or tape the cone together.
4. Staple flower to pipe cleaner or straw.
5. Draw leaves on green construction paper and cut out. Staple to "stem".

Fluffy Easter Chick
2 yellow cotton balls (from craft store)
1/2 of a clean egg shell or cup cut from egg carton
Black construction paper
Orange construction paper
Hole punch
Glue

1. Use the hole punch to make eyes out of black construction paper.
2. Cut a small square from orange construction paper and fold it in half to form a triangle for the beak.
3. Glue one cotton ball into the bottom of the egg shell. Glue the other cotton ball on top for the head.
4. Glue on the two eyes and beak.

Jelly Bean Carrots
Disposable clear plastic icing bags
Orange jelly beans
Green tissue paper or construction paper
Twist ties

1. Fill an icing bag with orange jelly beans, leaving at least 3 inches unfilled at the top.
2. Cut out two green construction paper leaves and twist bottoms together or twist center of tissue paper square to form "stem".
3. Place the tissue or construction paper, twisted end down, into the bag.
4. Gather the bag at the top of the jelly beans and secure with a twist tie around the "stem" of the paper, so the greenery sticks out of the top
