Easter Crafts: How to Make a Candy Chick Easter Gift

BS
Easter is a big holiday for candy and other treats. Chocolate bunnies, chicks, and eggs are often given to children as Easter presents. These chocolate treats can all be found at the store packaged in ordinary boxes. If you're tired of buying these Easter treats from the store and are looking for something a little bit more personal to give to the children in your family this Easter, try making a candy chick instead. It's very fun and can even be done with the children as Easter gifts for other family members. This Easter craft allows you to still give the children the candy and treats they are expecting, but with a more unique packaging.

Materials
-Saran wrap
-large yellow pom pom (1 per chick)
-yellow foam hearts (2 per chick)
-pipe cleaners (1 per chick)
-wiggle eyes (2 per chick)
-small orange foam triangle (1 per chick)
-scissors
-white glue
-jelly beans (or other small candy)

Instruction
1. First began by making the "body" of your candy chick. Cut a square of Saran wrap and put the jelly beans or whatever other candy you have selected on the Saran wrap. Grab the corners of your Saran wrap squares and bring them up to keep the candy inside (like a small bag) and tie them together.

2. Use the pipe cleaner to tie the Saran wrap and keep the candy from falling out. Turn the pipe cleaner into a bow, this will give the chick a bow tie.

3. Get the wiggle eyes and glue them on the yellow pom pom. When you place them on the pom pom, hold them in place for about five seconds to make sure that they stay in place.

4. Next, take the small orange foam triangle and glue it on to yellow pom pom to serve as the beak of the chick.

5. Get the yellow pom pom and glue it to the top of the pipe cleaner. Put the glue on the pom pom and hold it in place for a few second before you let go, just to make sure it stays on securely. This will serve as the head of the chick.

6. When the head and the body of your Easter candy chick are complete, move on the feet. The two yellow foam hearts will act as the feet of the chick. Turn your candy chick on its side and glue the hearts to the bottom.

7. Turn your candy chick right side up and it should stand on its own. Now your chick is all ready to be given away as one of the most creative Easter gifts your family has ever seen.
