Easter Crafts: How to Make an Easter Egg Bunny

BS
Easter crafts are fun no matter how old you are. Crafts are part of most people's Easter traditions, and for good reasons, it's fun and it's a great way to bring the entire family together, and you crafts can also double as Easter decorations. There are lots of different options when it comes to Easter crafts, the obvious being decorating Easter eggs, making Easter bunnies, making Easter baskets, or you can even combine some of these and create a Easter egg bunny. It's a pretty simple craft, and it makes for a great decoration. Here's how you can make your own Easter egg bunny:

Materials
-tissue
-plastic or hollow egg
-cardboard
-scissors
-glue
-markers

Instructions
1. If have decided to use hollow eggs for this craft, decorate them before you start on anything else. If you have some already prepared Easter eggs just laying around with no purpose, grab a few and you can start immediately. If you don't want to have to make your own Easter eggs, you can purchase plastic ones from the store.

2. Take the cardboard (make sure it's sturdy) and cut out a rectangular piece that will fit tightly around your Easter egg. Use the glue to secure the ends together to make an egg holder. This will hold the egg up which will create the body of your Easter egg bunny. If you want to decorate it, use the markers to do so.

3. Using the cardboard again, cut out some feet and legs for your Easter egg bunny. Make sure they are proportionate to the rectangle you have already cut out. Also cut out arms for your Easter egg bunny. If you want to add detail, do so using the markers. Glue the feet and legs to the bottom of the cardboard rectangle that you cut out.

4. To make the head of your Easter egg bunny, you will need two tissues. Take one of the tissues, and crumble it up into a sphere. Put it in the center of the second tissue and fold that tissue so that it looks like a cylinder over the sphere. Each end of the tissue cylinder should be pointy, which will be helpful in creating the ears of your bunny. Take the ends of the cylinder, bring them together at one end of the sphere, and tie them together (very gently). Once they are tied, position them to look like bunny ears. Use the markers to draw the face of the bunny on the tissue.

5. Now it's time to put your Easter egg bunny together. Insert the egg in the cardboard egg holder. Use the glue to secure the head to the body of your bunny. Use the glue again to attach the arms to the actual egg and your bunny is ready to go!

Nikki, you took the words from my mouth. Altho, I was going to ask if we're going to be treated to a pic of his Easter Basket with all those speckled, sparkled, marbled, textured, etc., eggs he taught us all to make.
