Materials
-bowl
-vegetable oil
-food coloring or egg dye
-hallow eggs
-spoon
-newspaper
Instructions
1. This can be a messy project, so lay down some newspaper over your work area. Also be sure that you're wearing old clothes or at least an apron to protect your clothing from any stains.
2. Take the bowl and pour one tablespoon of vegetable oil into it.
3. Once the oil is in the bowl, you'll have to pour some food coloring into the mixture. Only do one color at a time for best results. Make sure you stir the oil and food coloring so that they mix well together. The oil and the food coloring will create the marble effect on your Easter eggs.
4. Take your hollow egg, and gently dip it into the mixture. Make sure that you get the entire surface of the egg so that all of your Easter egg will get the marble effect. If you don't want to dip the egg in the mixture, there is another way, but it's a lot messier. You can hold the egg up (over some newspaper or place mat), and pour the mixture over the egg and it will create the same marble effect on your Easter egg.
5. Repeat step 2, 3, and 4, except use a different color of food coloring so that your marbleized Easter egg will be multi-colored.
6. Do this with all of your Easter eggs and after, you can use them for numerous things. You can use them in your Easter egg hunt, you can give them away as presents (everyone will be impressed), or you can simply use them as decorations for Easter.

Does the egg have to be hollow? This is a great article. My grandchildren and great grandchildren come over every Easter to color eggs. We do it outside and make a grand mess. We will definitely do these eggs.
I love Easter, thanks for this:)
I used to love dying eggs as a kid, but was always too impatient to do anything fancy with them.
