Many Easter Egg Hunts in Houston are sponsored by the area's churches.

St. Thomas' Episcopal Church and School is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 17, 2011 following the 10:30 am service. Children 10 and under are invited to bring their own baskets and hunt for Easter Eggs on the church grounds. The church is located at Jackwood and Endicott in Houston.

for their annual Easter Egg Hunt and festival.

Holy Trinity United Methodist Church is hosting its annual egg hunt on April 23 from 1-3 pm. The church is located at 13207 Orleans Street, Houston.

Sugar Creek Baptist Church offers an annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 16 and 23, 2001. Register now. Last year over 5000 people attended this church sponsored community event that included children's activities, story time and music. The church is located at 13333 Southwest Freeway.

What do oranges and Easter eggs have in common? The annual Orange Show Easter Egg Hunt! On April 23, 2011 10am- 2pm families can gather at the Orange Show Monument located at 2402 Munger St. in Houston to participate in an egg hunt complete with treats, music, and oranges. Refreshments are provided by St. Arnold Brewing Company and musical performance will be by the Men of Houston Morris Dancers. This event is free.

Our neighbors in Montgomery County offer up a 5000 Easter egg drop. No Easter bunny could get this job done on his own, so The Way Church called in reinforcements via helicopter. Who knows maybe your egg will contain one of the iPods or digital cameras being given away on April 24, 2011 at 11am.

Many churches are accepting donations of eggs and gifts for the eggs throughout the community. If you happen to live in one of these areas consider supporting them in their efforts by making a donation of money, eggs, toys or candy. This makes a great Lenten family activity.
