My children have attended the Easter Egg Hunt at Milburn Orchards for many years. It is a great place to visit and the hunt is an added bonus of fun.

According to their website, Easter Egg Hunts will take place on the following dates: April 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 plus Bonus Day-Monday, April 25th! (closed Easter Sunday) . Egg Hunts take place every half hour from 11AM to 3PM Children can bring their own Easter baseket or bucket or they have plenty to provide for the children who do not. The cost to hunt is $5 per child and adults will cost $3 for entry onto the farm grounds. One great perk of this Easter Egg Hunt is that every child will take home a prize. The prizes are really kind of cute too. One year my son brought home an inflatable duck that was 2 feet tall. Another year, my daughter brought home a light up Mooshy Kooshie ball she had been wanting. Children turn in the eggs that they find and get a prize!

The Egg Hunt at Milburns starts with a hay ride for the entire family. The hay ride takes you to the Egg Hunting place. When it is time to begin, children will search for eggs that are scattered all over the field. Older children and younger children are in different areas so that the little ones do not get trampled and have a chance. Parents can help younger children if necessary.

In addition to hunting eggs, there are many other things to do while you are at the farm! There is a barnyard full of animals including goats, pigs, chickens and, of course, bunnies! The Easter Bunny is also on premisised to visit with and take pictures. And, or course, there is the play areas. There are many different wooden structures to play on at the farm plus a new playground. The wooden train and bus are alwys hits and the helicopter and truck are a great deal of fun. There is a picnic area with tables if you choose to bring lunch or a snack and there is also the "Deck" where you can purchase food to eat at the farm.

Of course, the visit would not be complete without a stop over to the "Market." Pies and fresh produce are available for purchase and everything is always delicious! This is a great choice for Easter Egg Hunting because there is so much more to do in addition to the actual Hunt!
