Easter 2009 falls on Sunday April 12th. To welcome the springtime activities, I have compiled a list of Easter Egg Hunts for families to enjoy in Chicago and the surrounding areas:

Athletic Field Park, Chicago IL Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 4, 2009 - 12 Noon

3546 W. Addison St.

In addition to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Chicago's Athletic Field Park, Easter holiday festivities will include face painting, arts and crafts, and of course, pictures with the Easter Bunny! Easter Egg Hunt is for children ages 1-10, and there is a $3 per child fee. This is a popular event, and pre-registration is recommended.

Mayfair Park, Chicago IL Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 9, 2009 - 11 am

4550 W. Sunnyside Ave

Chicago's Mayfair Park will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 2-5 at a cost of $2 per child. In addition to hunting for eggs filled with candy and other fun prizes, be sure to bring your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny! Advanced online registration is recommended.

Naperville, IL - Metro Chicago Easter Egg Hunt

April 11, 2009 - 10 am

Frontier Sports Complex at 95th St.

The City of Naperville just outside of Chicago will be holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt for metro Chicago children ages 1-8 at the Frontier Sports Complex. Kids are asked to bring their own Easter basket or container to collect eggs for this event. And as always, the City of Naperville is offering this event to residents and non-residents at no charge!

Chicago, IL - Madden Park Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 10, 2009 - 2:00 to 4:00pm

The Madden Park Easter Egg Hunt is a free annual treat for kids age 6 - 12 of Chicago and the metro area. This is a popular event where the kids can hunt for eggs, treats and other prizes while other members of the family enjoy games, arts and crafts and entertainment. Fun for the whole family!

Doggie Easter Egg Hunt - Horner Park, Chicago IL

April 11, 2009 - 10:00am - 12Noon

No Kidding!! At Chicago's Horner Park, for a cost of $5 per pooch, your dog can hunt for treat filled Easter Eggs and get his picture taken with the Easter Bunny at this popular event! No children allowed ( the event host recommends no rabbits either!). To attend this event, you must be 18 or older, and your dog must be leashed at all times.
