Easter Egg Hunts in Detroit and Surrounding Cities

Easter is Sunday April 12^th for 2009. With hopes of seeing a little springtime in the weather by April, I have compiled a list of family Easter Egg Hunts to enjoy in Detroit and the surrounding areas:

Ann Arbor, MI Detroit Area Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday April 11, 2009 -12Noon

All metro Detroit families are invited to come enjoy the 18th Annual outdoor Easter Egg Hunt benefiting the Make-A-Wish foundation at Domino's Farms. There are over 20,000 eggs in the Easter egg hunts, which begins at 12 Noon sharp, and are broken up into three age groups from ages 1 through 10. The Easter egg hunt festivities are included in the $5 admission for adults and children ages 3 and older to the Domino's Petting Farm which opens at 9:30 am. Children under 3 are free. The petting farm activities include hayrides, pony rides and animal demonstrations, and don't forget to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny while you are there!

City of Novi, MI - Detroit Area Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt - Wednesday April 1, 2009 - 8pm - 9pm

All kids of the metro Detroit area will have a blast hunting for Easter eggs in the dark at the Novi Civic Center. Event is from 8pm to 9pm for ages 3 through 10, and all should bring an Easter basket and a flashlight to hunt for Easter eggs filled with candy, toys and other surprises. Other activities for metro Detroit kids at the event include craft making, inflatable bouncer, snacks and pictures with the Easter Bunny! Advanced registration is required, and ends on March 25, so act fast! Registration is available online, with fees starting at $5 per person for residents.

City of Wixom, MI - Detroit Area Easter Egg Hunt - Sunday April 5, 2009 - 12:30pm

For metro Detroiters in the downriver area, the Gilbert Willis Park will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt for children ages 2 - 10. Registration is required, but not allowed in advance, therefore be sure to be at the park at 12:30pm on the day of the event to register. Registration fee is $3 per child. The Easter Egg hunt promptly starts at 1:00pm, and no personal Easter baskets are allowed. Be sure to bring a camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny!

City of Northville, MI - Detroit Metro Area Easter Egg Hunt at Maybury State Park Saturday, April 11, 2009 - No Event Time Scheduled as of yet

The metro Detroit Maybury State Park has announced it's annual Easter Egg Hunt to be held on Saturday April 11th, although no event time has been scheduled yet. Metro Detroit children can meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny, enjoy face painted and receive a goody bag at the event. No charge for the event, but all motor vehicles entering the park will need a Motor Vehicle Permit, which can be purchased at the park entrance.

Belle Isle, Detroit MI Annual Easter Egg Hunt - No Date Currently Scheduled

Although the City of Detroit has not yet posted the date for its Annual Belle Isle Park Easter Egg Hunt, we needed to make special mention of this popular event and recommend keeping an eye on the City of Detroit's official website for the event listing. This is one you wont want to miss!
