Easter Greeting-Card Messages

Religious and Humorous Suggestions

Easter's a time for family and friends. We don our fancy clothes, attend Easter service together, cook out if the weather holds, and throw Easter egg hunts for the kids. More and more people are turning to Easter greeting cards to share these memories with loved ones who can't be together this holiday.

Just sending a card is a nice gesture. If you also take the time to add a personalized message, it makes the card all the more heartfelt. Here are some suggestions for catchy salutations to give your card seasonal flair:

Religious messages:

-Through Christ, all things are possible. May your Easter be filled with faith and joy.

-The stone has been rolled away. May the awe and hope of God's love fill your Easter.

-Let the Good News of Christ's rebirth fill your heart on this special day.

-God is risen! Let the joy of Easter warm your heart.

-On Easter, we come together to celebrate Christ's resurrection. I'll be thinking of you and praying that God's love keeps you safe until you can be together with us again next year.

- May the miracle of Christ's resurrection bring peace and joy to your heart.

-Let the hope of Easter raise your spirits.

-Thinking of you as we celebrate Christ's resurrection. May the hope of the season lighten your heart.

Secular/humorous messages:

-Happy egg hunting!

-I hear there's a freakishly oversized bunny coming your way. Don't be alarmed. Ask it for small, chocolate replicas of itself.

-Easter homemaking tip: Hang onto that green plastic "grass" from your Easter basket. It can be woven into a nice Halloween wig.

-Wish you were here. I'll need help remembering where I hid all the eggs.

-Since you couldn't be here, I'm divvying up the candy. One Cadbury egg for me, one stale marshmallow chick for you. Robin eggs for me, another stale marshmallow chick for you. You get the idea.

-Visit soon or you'll never see your chocolate bunny with both ears intact.

-I wish you could be with us for Easter. But since you can't, I'll paint you a quick family panorama to get you by: Aunt Edna is compulsively sorting the jelly beans by color. Uncle Stew is organizing the 50th group photo. Tommy is lining up chocolate bunnies for a battle royale against his Transformers. And Dad is perkily manning the grill after catching up on his sleep during church.
