Easter Hippoty Hoppity

Poem for Easter

Nini Fire
Hippoty hoppity the easter bunny says, as he hops yet again on a day off easter.
Hippoty hoppity the easter bunny says, as he collects his wares for a special day.
Hippoty hoppity the easter bunny goes, as he sighs in hope the children will appreciate him.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. The easter bunny says.
I may not be big and red and jolly, or carrying a sack.

Nor am I big and scary, frightening those around.
Or making sawing sounds sprouting candy in a hack.

I am just a big old bunny, with my floppy woppy ears.
I have lots of candy, in little wittle eggs.

I like lots of snuggling and I like to hippoty hop.
Will you like me when I come around? Will you like my ear dance flop?

I am just a big old bunny.. But I work all year for you!
Just to see a big old smile, and a grinning sweet tooth.

Happy easter dears!

Lovely art and poem, Nini. I wish more people would put their art on AC!
