Easter for Kids

And How to Find Outfits on the Cheap

Eve
Easter is on of the best times of the year. Children love it because they get to go outside and play. Adults love it because the kids aren't cooped up in the house trying to keep things clean and quiet. Easter is celebrated by most, religious or non religious. This too is a holiday for families to get together, look their best, celebrate the risen Jesus Christ, or whatever other meaning you choose to give it as well.

Easter for me as a child meant I got to spend time with my Grandparents. What better way to create memories, than to look your best, take pictures together, and run around outside. Almost as important as having fun is looking fantastic while you are doing it.

My Easter outfit always consisted of the following items:

1.White patent leather shoes (I loved the shine and sometimes I could convince my mom to get the pair with a little heal)

2. Lace trim white socks

3. The most amazing dress in a pastel print ( I usually opted for ribbons and a little puffy skirt)

4. White gloves

5. Matching pocketbook

6. Wide brim hat

7.hair ribbon form when the hat is removed

If you are a boy, The a full suit and vest included is appropriate along with a neat hair cut.

This is the only time kids are expected to dress to the nines, however it is so worth it because they just look so darn cute!

Grandparents adore children when they look so special. I know mine always did. I had family members flashing their cameras everywhere I looked. It almost made me feel a little bit like a celebrity.

We always have an indoor Easter egg hunt with candy filled plastic eggs, then we have the great big outdoor Easter egg hunt at the grand parents house. All the children in the family run around and scramble to find the magic golden egg which usually contains a five dollar bill in it. This person is declared the winner and it makes it interesting. We then get a huge container of bubbles, a giant bubble wand and lots of other bubble blowing accessories and spend time playing with bubbles until the delicious glazed ham is ready.

Traditions are what make holidays special and memorable for children. It always gives them something to look forward to!
