On Easter day I would wake up to the excitement of wondering if the Easter bunny had come to visit the night before. As a child I would run down stairs and find an Easter basket full of candy and gifts waiting for me in the living room. Then I would get my basket and head out the door to find Easter eggs. Some eggs were plastic and filled with either candy or money, some eggs were hard boiled and had been decorated the night before. After gathering all the eggs my family and I would take a trip to my Aunt's house to eat deviled eggs, baked chicken, green beans, pea salad, potato salad and rolls. We would then visit for the rest of the day and finish off lunch at supper time.
Easter is a time to celebrate with friends and family because Christ was resurrected. Christ has taught me many things in my life and blessed me even more. I am happy to still celebrate Easter with my children and friends and family. My favorite memories are of Easter and imagining what the Easter bunny looked like. Dreaming all night of what was to come the next day.
