Only to find
The eggs are missing
Did I lose my mind
I looked all around
High and low
What could have happened to them
Where did they go
That's when I saw them
All across the floor
It was mounds of dust bunnies
Heading out the door
I followed the trail
To see where it would lead
I wanted my eggs back
Its eggs that I need
As I headed outside
I thought wouldn't it be funny
If the trail of dust bunnies
Actually led to a bunny
That's when I saw him
With a big grin on his face
My husband was standing there
Looking so out of place
I asked what he was doing
Why was he outside
He shoved right past me
And took my eggs back inside
"What were you planning?"
The plan I had foiled
"I was going to hide them,
But forgot they weren't boiled."
"I'm too old for that,"
I said with a smile
"Make me an omelet,
That's more my style".
