Easter Party Decorations

Easter Party decorations can make or break the celebration. Decorating on a budget and still have a very festive Easter Party can be done and I will share how to do this.

Dollar Store Decorations

Head over to the local dollar store and pick up an Easter tablecloth. You can purchase a solid pastel color or one with holiday signs all over it. It you choose a solid colored tablecloth, purchase some decorative napkins with a nice design on them. If you get a decorative tablecloth with bunnies, chicks and eggs on it, it's better to stay with plain colored napkins, cups, and plates. The trick to a beautiful table is to mix and match the items, which will be on it.

Easter Grass

This stringy colored plastic grass is not only for Easter baskets. Once your table has been set, use some of this grass around the bottom of bowls or on platters as a liner under colored eggs. If you have a cake on a pedestal or anything on a pedestal, wrapping this grass around the bottom can help to add decorative touches.

Christmas Lights

If you have solid colored strings of these twinkling lights, you can wrap them on a mantel or drape them around a doorframe. Got trees? Wrap a string of lights around it. Solid strings of yellow, green, light red and white will work nicely for this holiday.

Luminaries

Purchase some small brown craft bags, tea candles, and play sand to make these Easter luminaries. Draw some bunnies, chicks, or eggs on the bag and cut some of these items out so the light can shine through. Put a few inches of sand in each bag and insert a small tea candle. Once its time for your party, you can light the candle. You can set these luminaries on a mantel, sidewalk, deck, or somewhere else where they can be watched, as they do have the potential to start a fire.

Colored Ice Cubes

The plastic eggs that can be purchased in the local stores make great ice cube trays. Fill the larger end of the egg with water and place them in an egg carton. Once the egg carton is full place it in the freezer until the egg is frozen solid. Once you are ready to use these in punch bowls, simply put them in hot water for a few seconds and then they will slide out of the shell easily.

Easter - Yikes! Time goes so fast. I tried to comment on your fibromyalgia stuff, but the H&W section isn't allowing comments for a couple months for some "experiment" yahoo is doing. Did you know aspartame and sugar consumption can contribute to the pain?
