Egg toss is always a hit at parties I have given. To make it even more interesting you can use eggs that you have previously decorated to stay in the Easter theme. How you play is make two rows of people standing in front of each other. Start out about a foot or two apart then toss the egg. If the egg can be tossed without being broken then each participant moves back about another foot. This continues to however far back they can get and still toss the egg without breaking it. You may be surprised on how far back some people can get and still be able to catch the egg without breaking it.
Another cute games for kids is the bunny hop contest. Have all the kids form one row. Then have each child hop as far as they can. The child who hopped the farthest is the winner.
Of course what would an Easter party be without an egg hunt? Depending on the number of children at the party and their ages you might need to break them up into age groups. To get away from so much candy you might want to put small toys or coins in eggs. You could also hide a few dollar bills in some eggs. Maybe offer up 1or 2 bigger prizes and hide the winning ticket inside an egg. This would probably work best for older kids. Younger children would probably not understand.
Now this is a different take on a game I have mentioned in a previous article. Fill a jar with egg candy, now this could be chocolate eggs or robin eggs, and have each child guess how many eggs are in the jar. You could give the winner a small prize such as a stuffed rabbit or an Easter coloring book and colors.
Another fun homemade game is pin the egg on the basket. This game is a take off of the pin the tail on the donkey game. You could make this game homemade very easy. All you have to do is draw a basket and cut it out on construction paper. Then draw out eggs and have the kids color and decorate them. Use tape to place the eggs in the basket when it is time to play the game. The object of the game is to get the egg inside the basket.
I hope you have found a few game ideas that you would like to play at your Easter party. The kids will have a lot of fun and so will you!
