It came from the fog and dust
Leaving its mark on the sand
Refusing the embrace lust
Falling in love with the land
It escaped the harsh cold
And the ruthless rain
It's never grew old
It never forgot the pain
It was no ordinary plant
It returned to the original size
It grew in ways other cant
A growth that's hard to recognize
It was a sight to be seen
It was like Jesus rising from the rock
Like the energy of a vibrant teen
The rose grew that left us in shock
