Easter Sunrise

Mary Martin

Golden rays of sunshine break across the horizon.

The streams of light illuminate all they reach.

Colors are intense and strong.

The green will never be more vibrant this year.

Grass, tiny leaves and flower stems of many hues create a dramatic background for the delicate flowers and blossoms.

White, pink, lavender and gold abound.

Easter's message arrives as scheduled.

The fragile petals still wet with dew stand tall and proud.

They announce the rebirth.

The bleak cold days of winter are past.

The earth is filled with new growth and light.
