The Eastern Music Festival is part of the Fringe in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tickets go on sale soon, on the first of June for this long awaited annual festival. The festival highlights young singers from across the countries, as well as those seasoned bands that we look forward to year after year. Tickets are available at discounted rates for students. seniors or those that are booked early enough.

The food at the festival is only a compliment to the great music. The traditional fare food with a local twist brings the locals out, and the tourists craving more. There is such a great selection of food that even the fussiest will find something that they enjoy.

The schedule is packed full of events that are indeed friendly for the whole entire family.

The first show begins at 8:30 pm on July 10th. The Steep Canyon Rangers can be seen at the Triad Stage for the low ticket cost of $20.00/person. This bluegrass band draws in the crowd with original songs, and a sound that will leave you wanting more.

July 11th 2008 at 8:30 brings the second show of the festival. The Greencards have not only won an abundance of awards but have toured with the likes of Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. Their original sound will bring the crowd to their feet, and is surely to be an enjoyable experience for the entire family.

The next night brings the music styling of Lee Roy Parnell at the triad stage. Show up early for this show that is sure to be sold out at $20.00 per ticket.

Check out the triad Stage on July 13th for Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin Blues Band with opening act Shiela Klinefelter & Traveling Circus - tickets are free to this show! This is the perfect time to bring the family, and enjoy the festival on a budget.

July 17th brings the Waybacks to the Triad stage. Tickets are $20.00 and the show starts at 8:30 pm.

The 19th of July brings Lori McKenna to the stage at 8:30. Get your tickets early for this show that is bound to be popular with the sweet voice and sound of this starlet. $20.00 will get you into the show.

The Everybodyfields can be seen on the 24th of July for $20.00, the Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews & Orleans Avenue can be seen on Friday the 25th of July for the low price of $20.00 as well.

Other bands that are making appearances to close the show are the Lee Boys, Carl Weathersby, The Seth Walker Band and the Flat River Band, Check the show times on the website to get your tickets early for all of these shows. This is one of the most popular festivals in the state, and therefore, those who get their tickets early, get to see the show!
