Easy 4th/Fourth of July Desserts/treats in Red, White, and Blue

Now that you have made plans to celebrate the big day with friends and family; you need a dessert that will be the hit of the party. Red, White and Blue is the order of the day; here are a few simple 4th/Fourth of July desserts/treats that fit the bill without costing a pretty penny!

Super Easy Fruit Parfait

4 C Strawberries, washed and sliced
4 C Blueberries, washed
1 White Cake Mix, baked and sliced into 1" cubes
2 Containers Coolwhip, defrosted

In a clear glass container large enough to hold 12 cups volume; layer strawberries, blueberries, cake, and coolwhip in 1 inch layers. Refrigerate until serving.

Super Easy Jello Cake

1 White Cake Mix
1 Container Strawberry Jello
1 Container Coolwhip, defrosted
1 C Strawberries, washed and sliced
1 Tbsp. Blue Food Coloring

Mix the cake mix according to the package directions. Drop small drops of food coloring randomly across the top of the cake; and swirl into the mix gently with a spoon. Bake according to package directions. When cake has cooled, prepare jello as directed. Make wholes in the white parts of your cake with the end of a wooden spoon. Pour prepared jello over the cake, cover, and refrigerate. When you are ready to serve your cake, top with the whipping cream for frosting and a layer of sliced strawberries on top.

Super Easy Sugar Cookies

1 Package of Sugar Cookie Mix
¼ Cup Red Sugar
¼ Cup Blue Sugar

Prepare the cookie into dough according to directions. Roll dough into 1" balls, and dip one half of the ball in red sugar and the other half in blue sugar. Bake according to directions!

Super Easy Star Shaped Chocolates

1 Star candy mold
1 package of lollipop sticks if called for on the mold
1 package white chocolate chips
blue or red food coloring

Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave, for 15 seconds at a time, stirring between each time until thoroughly melted. Drop one drop of food coloring into each mold. Fill molds with chocolate. Place stick into mold if needed. Allow chocolate to harden, or refrigerate for quicker finish.
