Easy Braided Hairstyles

Braided hair styles can be elegant or girlie. There are so many different ways to braid hair. You can create braided pigtails, buns or even a lovely french braid. A braid can create a beautiful Cleopatra look or a girl next door style. Regardless of what look you are aiming for, a braid is an easy way to create classic beauty.

French Braid

A french braid is a style that is timeless. This look can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. There are also many variations of a french braid. This braid can be tightly woven or loose. You can also weave ribbons into your hair as you braid. The french braid resembles a wicker basket. This look is ideal for a woman with medium to long hair. You can pin the hair underneath with bobby pins or allow the braid to hang down at the back. This style can also be created with or without bangs.

Crown and Basic Braids

Other braided hair styles include braids that fall down the back or pigtail braids and crown braids that form a princess-like crown. This type of braid requires very long hair. To create a crown, braid two large sections of hair toward the front of your face, and then wrap the hair around your head until the two ends meet. Secure the braids in place with a hair tie and bobby pins. Then finish the look with a decorative clip in the middle.

Bun Braids

Another princess-like braiding hair style is the bun braid. To create this look, first create a ponytail, braid it, and tie it at the end. Wrap your braid in a circular shape around your head. Secure the braid with bobby pins. Or form the braid into a bun low on the back of your head or in the middle of your head.

Create several tiny braids all over your head in rasta style. Or braid only a few tiny strands so that they frame your face.
