Easy Card Trick for Children

The Vanishing Ace of Diamonds is a simple and fun card trick for children to learn and enjoy.
This easy card trick is all about the placement of the Ace of Hearts. (See article image.)

The four main cards used in the Vanishing Ace of Diamonds are the Ace of Spades, Ace of Diamonds, Ace of Hearts, and Ace of Clubs (clover).
To keep this easy card trick simple for children, you will want to simplify the deck of cards. Usually, ten cards for the final deck will keep the card trick easy to perform and follow for children.

Step 1 Place the actual Ace of Diamonds in your shirt pocket.(You can also use your sleeve or a prop!)

Step 2 Using both hands, take the Ace of Clubs and Ace of Spades and place the Ace of Hearts in between the two.
Make sure the Ace of Hearts is placed in a manner, when displayed to onlookers, that illusions the Ace of Diamonds (see article image)
The simplest way to create the effect is to fan the cards in your hand with the Ace of Hearts in middle. Then slowly move the black Aces inward until the heart at the center of the Ace of Hearts card looks like a diamond. In addition, the top and bottom corners of the Ace of diamonds should now be unseen.

Step 3 Now with the cards still in the 'fan' formation, keeping both hands on the fan, show the audience the three aces. You can bend your arm forward or turn and show the cards in full upward view. The audience should see, at this time, one Ace of Clubs, one of Spades, and one Ace of Diamonds in the middle.

Step 4 With your audience watching, pull the fan inward to a small pile and place the three aces back into your ten-card deck . Lightly shuffle.

Step 5 Place the deck of cards in a stack on the table, tap, tap and say goodbye to the Ace of Diamonds.

Step 6 With your audience watching, spread the cards face up across the table. Allow them to see each of the three aces in the pile and the rest of the desk

Step 7 Now that your audience has seen the Ace of Diamonds Vanish, let them see it reappear. You can tap, tap on your pocket and say hello again to the magically returned playing card.

Remember, this easy card trick can be used by young children, but also by beginning adults!
