Easy and Cheap Homemade Craft Gift Ideas for Birthdays, Graduation and Easter

With the economy the way it is now, we can all use ways to help save money. These easy homemade craft ideas are cheap to make. Give these crafts to aunts, sisters and nieces. They would male great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or just a way to say thank you to that someone special. You can find many of the items needed to create these at your local Dollar General Stores. With Easter approaching fast, these would make cute gifts for Moms.

Mouse Trap Towel Holder

Turn the mousetrap over and nail one of the hanging brackets on to the back. Place it about 1 inch down from the top in the center. Turn the mousetrap back over and apply some glue from the glue gun on to the flower arrangement and then press it into place in the space right above the spring on the mousetrap. Then take the mouse face and apply some glue to the back of the face and then gently press it onto the top of the spring of the mousetrap. After the glue dries, take a kitchen or bathroom hand towel and fold it in half and then place the towel under the clip part of the mousetrap. Just be careful and do not catch your fingers in the trap when you clip the towel under there. Hang this little cutie in your kitchen or bathroom.

Turn the mousetrap over and glue a magnet to the back and place it 1 inch from the top. Turn the mousetrap back over and hot glue one or two plastic mice to the empty space right above the spring on the mousetrap. These are great for displaying your child's crafts from school or their homework. They are also a way to hold grocery lists or photos of the family.

Large Round Cabinet Knob (one that screws in )

All I did to make this was, I took the twine and wrapped it around both handles of the rolling pins to join them together and then tied it in a knot. Next I used a glue gun and applied a lot of glue to one side of both rolling pins and place them in the center of the wooden cutting board. After the glue dried, I took the cabinet knob and drilled this into the wall where I wanted to display my creation. I removed the knob and then I picked up my rolling pin art and placed this on the wall and placed the cabinet knob in the hole that is on the cutting board and then used an electric drill and placed the knob in place to hold the artwork up.
