You will need:
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 bag white chocolate chips
2-3 drops peppermint oil (to taste)
4 Tbls. real butter. Divided in half
Crushed candy cane or peppermint (place in sealed bag and crush with rolling pin)
In a sauce pan melt the milk chocolate with 2 Tbls. of butter. Stir constantly until chips and butter are melted. Pour immediately into a well greased 2 quart Pyrex dish. In a separate sauce pan, to keep chocolates from mixing, melt the white chocolate chips, 2 Tbls. butter and 2-3 drops of peppermint oil. Stir constantly and then pour on top of melted milk chocolate. Immediately put the crushed candy cane on top of the melted white chocolate and press down slightly. I usually take an ice pick and break the "bark" into serving sizes for a jagged look. If you prefer a more uniform look, cut the "bark" into squares before the chocolate cools completely. Kids and adults alike are sure to appreciate this yummy indulgence. Enjoy!
