Popsicle Stick Reindeer Face
You can turn 3 popsicle sticks into a cute reindeer face. All you need are three popsicles sticks, something for eyes, like wiggle eyes or buttons, something for a nose, like a pom pom or black paper, and glue. To see an image of what the completed project looks like, click here.
Start by gluing the three popsicle sticks as seen in the image. You can use any kind of glue, but a glue gun is your best option since the stick will adhere immediately. If you use a craft glue, just put the sticks aside until the glue dries. Then glue on some eyes and a nose. If you do not have anything to use for the eyes or nose, you can always color them in using a marker.
Hand Print and Foot Print Reindeer
Trace your child's foot on brown construction paper and cut it out. Trace both their hands on light brown or gray construction paper and cut them out. Glue the hand prints to the toe end of the foot print as seen in this image. Decorate the reindeer by drawing on or gluing on eyes, a nose and a mouth. You can also add a scarf or bow tie if you like.
Reindeer Antlers for Children
If your children want to play some reindeer games... let them wear antlers! You can make antlers quickly and easily with construction paper. Cut a band of brown construction paper to fit around your child's head. You can tape strips of construction paper together to make the band large enough. You can also use newspaper to make the band.
Trace your child's hands on brown construction paper and cut the hand prints out. Then glue or staple the hands to the head band to form the antlers. You can see a photo here to get an idea of how the finished antlers can look.
Reindeer Antlers for Stuffed Animals
Let your child turn his or her favorite stuffed animal into a reindeer by making some simple antlers out of chenille sticks (fuzzy pipe cleaners). Use one chenille stick to form a head band for the stuffed animal (try to make it match the color of the stuffed animals fur). Then twist brown chenille sticks around the head band and let them stick out to form antlers. You can look at this image to get an idea how to complete this craft.
