Easy Craft Project for Girls: Glamorous Gloves

This is a fun craft project for young girls. They can learn how to turn a plain pair of gloves into glamorous gloves with decorated fingernails and shimmering jewelry. These glamorous gloves will not only keep their hands warm but add color and shimmer to their fall and winter wardrobe.

Materials:

Black or white stretch winter gloves
chalk
fabric paints (pink, gold glitter)
paint brush
craft gems
and plastic wrap

Directions:

Begin by having your child try on the gloves, make an outline of where the fingernails will be with the chalk. Remove the gloves and insert a small ball of plastic wrap into each fingertip. Pour a small amount of the pink fabric paint onto a paper plate. Using the paint brush paint on the fingernails.

To create rings for your glamorous gloves, again insert a small ball of plastic wrap into the base area of each ring finger. Using the gold paint, squirt a small bead of paint onto the base of each ring finger. Gently place a craft gem into the center of the bead until the gold paint can be seen around the edges. Squirt a thin line of gold paint on each side of the gem to make the ring. For this step be careful not to use too much paint, you can always come back and add more if needed.

To add a shimmering bracelet to one or both glamorous gloves, fill the wrist section of the glove with a ball of plastic wrap (this is to protect the glove from any paint that might seep through). Option #1- using the gold paint run a line of gold paint across the front of the glove to resemble a gold chain. Let the paint dry and turn the glove over to finish the gold bracelet. Option #2- using the gold paint, squirt a small bead of paint in the center of the wrist and gently place a craft gem into the center of the bead until the gold paint can be seen around the edges. Continue this step across the front of the glove to create a gem bracelet. Let the paint dry and turn the glove over to finish the bracelet.

Allow the glamorous gloves to dry overnight, do not remove the plastic wrap until paint is completely dry. Wait 24 hours before wearing the glamorous gloves and at least 72 hours before washing them.

Hint: The colors for this project are just a guide, so feel free to use different color gloves and paints to create your glamorous gloves. You can also use pearl white paint to make a beautiful bead bracelet for your glamorous gloves. Try to come up with some fun and funky ideas to design your glamorous gloves anyway you want.
