Baked French Onion Soup
This great recipe is made in the slow cooker and is super easy to make.
This recipe is for a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker and makes 10-12 servings.

Ingredients:
6 to 8 thinly sliced Vidalia onions
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
10-12 slices of French bread
10-12 slices of provolone cheese

Directions:
In a very large skillet melt the butter and cook the onions and garlic over medium low heat until the onions are tender (about 20 minutes). Stir occasionally

Put the onion mixture into the 5-6 quart slow cooker. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Cover and cook for 5 to 10 hours on low or 2 ½ to 3 hours on high.

Toast the bread

Ladle the soup into the bowls and put the toasted French bread into the bowl. Place a cheese slice on top and broil until cheese is light brown and bubbly.

Serve and Enjoy
