Easy Crockpot Dessert Recipes: Make it Simple!

Your Crockpot is a great gadget. You can use it to have dinner ready and waiting when you get home from a long day. In addition, it not only saves time, but it also saves you money. But did you know you can use your Crockpot for more than roasts and stews? Here are some great recipes for scrumptious desserts you can make in your Crockpot.

Triple Chocolate Delight Crockpot Recipe

Ingredients:
1 package chocolate cake mix
1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
4 eggs
1 bag chocolate chips
1 pint sour cream

Directions:
Spray the inside of the Crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Mix ingredients in large bowl and pour into Crockpot. Cook on low for five to six hours. Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Crockpot Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:
3/4 cup short-grain rice (not instant)
1 (13 1/2 ounce) can evaporated milk
2 cups milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Spray Crockpot with nonstick spray. Add all ingredients and stir well. Cook on low for four to five hours, stirring twice during that time.

Apple pie is probably the single most American dessert. This Crockpot version is perfect for a crisp autumn evening.

Crockpot Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients:
8 baking apples, peeled and sliced
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons cold butter or margarine

Directions:
Place apple slices in a large bowl and toss with cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. Spray Crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Pour apple slices into Crockpot. In a large mixing bowl, combine milk, softened butter or margarine, sugar, eggs, vanilla and ½ cup of baking mix. Blend thoroughly and then spoon over apple slices. Combine remaining baking mix and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter or margarine with a pastry blender or butter knives until crumbly. Sprinkle over mixture in Crockpot and cook on low for six to seven hours.

    Hi Lonnette! I use a Rival, nothing fancy. But I definitely recommend getting one with a removable crock. They are so much easier to clean!
