Easy Dessert Ideas Using Nutella

Are you looking for some easy dessert ideas that you can make in a flash? I use Nutella all the time in my desserts. Nutella is an excellent product. There's so much you can do with it, even if you choose a simple approach. Nutella has the ability to make even the simplest foods, like bread, seem decadent. It's only natural that Nutella works as part of a dessert.

Use it as a Cake Icing

Instead of icing your cake with homemade frosting or store bought frosting, try Nutella. It works especially well with chocolate cake. It makes a great center filling for a layered cake, as well. Garnish the cake with chocolate shaves and some crushed hazelnuts. It's not only decadent, but looks gourmet!

Delicious Dessert Crepes with Nutella

I was in London the first time I had a crepe slathered with Nutella. It's decadent! Spread Nutella all over the cake and roll. Top it with powdered sugar and whipped cream and you have a winning dessert. Try adding fresh strawberry or banana slices or coconut shavings before rolling, as well.

Use as a Filling for Cannolis

Cannolis look complicated to make, but if you buy the shells, it's really easy. Mix equal parts ricotta cheese and Nutella in a mixing bowl. Stir in some mini chocolate chips. Fill each cannoli with the mixture. When it's time to serve them, top them off with a dollop of whipped cream.

Make a Nutella Brownie Sundae

This is also a fun and easy dessert. You can purchase the brownies, make them from scratch, or bake them from a mix. Spread a layer of Nutella. Top with vanilla or chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup, crushed hazelnuts, and whipped cream. Garnish with a chocolate shaving. Easy!

Nutella Pudding Pie

This is one of the easiest desserts to make. Purchase a graham cracker pie crust or make it from scratch. Spread Nutella (gently) along the bottom. You may want to heat it in a saucepan so it melts. Whip up a batch of instant chocolate pudding and refrigerate ten minutes. Top the pie with whipped cream before serving.
