Easy DIY Christmas Decorations for Kids

As Christmas approaches us parents, and teachers look for fun projects for the kids to make for the Christmas season. In this article I am going to give you five easy DIY Christmas projects for children.

Reindeer Craft Treat Holder

This is a really cute and inexpensive project for children. All you will need for this project is scissors, craft glue, little clay pots, some plastic eyes, red pom-poms, and construction paper. What this project consists of is tracing your child's hands for the antlers, and gluing the eyes and antlers onto the pot. Pretzel Wreath

This is a very simple project all you will need is some little pretzels, curling ribbon, and glue. This project is a fun activity for the children; just remember to have extra pretzels on hand for those snacking children. Start by weaving the ribbon through your pretzels, and then glue them into place. The hyperlink provided will give complete instructions.

Easy Glitter Stars

These stars will be a sure hit with the little ones this Christmas season. All you will need for this project is glue, cardboard, and glitter in a few different colors. Cut star shapes in the cardboard and cover the starts in glue then cover in glitter. You will need to allow a couple days for drying before you hang your glitter stars up.

Candy Cane Mouse

This candy cane mouse is an adorable project your children can give as gifts to their grandparents. You will need two different colors of felt, a candy cane, some wiggly eyes, and a small pom-pom for the nose. Penguin Pals

This project requires some adult supervision. You will need an empty 2 liter bottle, craft foam sheets black orange and white, a small sock, craft glue, and spray paint. Adults will need to use the spray paint, and spray paint your 2 liter bottle. Next you will need to cut out your shapes, and glue them in place.
