Easy Do-it-Yourself Wedding Centerpieces!

Emmy
If you are getting married and would like to save money and time by making your own centerpieces for the reception I have a few ideas for you!

The first idea, which my cousin did at her wedding, is simple clear vases with water and flowers. Here is the recipe to create this.

Materials:
clear vases (the amount of them depends on how many tables you will have at your reception)
flowers (whatever kind and color you would like and you just need 1 or 2 of each for each vase)
water
glitter (optional)

1. Fill vase a quarter to half full with water.
2. Put in your flowers and you are done!

Optional: You can put in glitter and different things that you can find at craft stores to float in the water!

Another idea that I have seen at a friend's wedding is to get empty wine bottles and fill with water and put in flowers. So easy I don't even need to write instructions!

Last but not least I will write how to do what I did at my own wedding!

Materials:
doilies (the amount will depend on how many tables you have)
tulle (in whatever color you like and the amount you need will depend on how many you would like to make)
ribbon
wrapped candy (e.g. Hershey's kisses)
glitter cut-outs

1. Get a few pieces of wrapped candy and put them in the middle of a circular piece of tulle in your choice of color (the circle should be about 6 inches across). Then gather the outsides of the circle and tie with a piece of ribbon. On the table put down a doily in the middle and put a few of these gathered tulle with candy in them and put on the doily. Then sprinkle with some glitter cut-outs (you can get these at any craft store). Do this on every table and you have your centerpiece!

I hope these ideas will help with your wedding! I tried to put some ideas on here that would be easy to do yourself and would not cost a lot of money. At my own wedding I did the last idea very easily and it looked great. I had my bridesmaids help me and it went very fast with all of us doing it.
