Easy Father's Day Crafts Kids Can Make

Laura Ewers
Father's Day is a great time to celebrate dad and show him how important he really is to us. Here are so simple crafts your children can make with little to no help depending on age and ability. Dad will sure love being appreciated this father's day.

Fathers Day Tee Shirts:

There are many different kinds of shirts you can do for the dad in your life. However here are a few examples to get you started.

Foot print tee

Have your kids dip their feet in a shallow dish of fabric paint (one color for each child) Primary colors on a white tee or white paint on a black tee works best.
Then after the feet dry write the words "My children walk al over me" on it.

Hand print tee

This is just like the foot print tee only instead of feet it is hands. The other difference is to write theses words when it dries. " I may not be perfect, but to my family I am the world's greatest dad"

Other options are to make a shirt with the child's or a family photo on it and then below the photo write "I carry photos where I used to carry money"

Paper fathers day crafts:

Notebook for dad

You will need
3 sheets of plain letter size paper/ or thin card stock
Hole punch
Thin cardboard or thick card stock
rubber band or string
A stick

First cut all 3 of the sheets of paper in half. Then fold 2 of the 3 sheets in half and punch 2 holes in the paper using the hole punch. Cut out 2 pieces of cardboard the same size as the folded paper. Then punch holes in the cardboard to match the ones in the paper. Then fold the paper and cardboard together like a book. And wrap the rubber band or string through the holes. Then slide a stick through the rubber band or string and finally cut out the word "DAD" from newspaper or any other scrap paper.

Coupon book

You will need
4 sheets of letter size paper
hole punch
string
markers or pens
pictures of different tasks (trash can, garage, ect) - This is optional but will make the coupon book look nicer.

Cut and fold 4 sheets of paper into 6 pieces each sheet (3 on each side so in half then 3rds) and cut then all out so they are all lose. You will have 24 sheets. If you want less that's fine as well. Then punch 2 holes in the sheets of paper and ties then all together. On the top sheet write "Fantastic Fathers Day Coupons" then on the other sheets write different jobs, errands, or thing you can do for dad either as a family for him or for each child. Ideas such as taking out the trash, cleaning the garage, cleaning out the gutters, rubbing dads feet, a whole day of dad doing whatever he wants to do, a back rub, cook dad a steak dinner, bring dad drinks day, a day of not asking for money from dad, just think of things dad would like to have done... maybe do some of those things off dads chore list.
