Saving Money Can Be Simple

Henry Palange
Are you living from pay check to pay check, up to your eye balls in debt ? Saving money by following a simple budget was the answer for me in gain financial stability. We now have more money and our lives are better in many other aspects. Budgeting your money is not difficult, following your budget will require self discipline on your part.

Phase one in saving money

Start by figuring the total expenses you have each month. ( include everything ) . Total the money you have coming in each month. The money you spend to live on should be no greater than 80% of the total you have coming in.

Reaching the point that your expenses fall under the 80% mark takes time. A budget is not a instant cure, rather a plan to reach goals over time. Some methods of saving money make this process less of a shock.

We can still eat out, go to the movies, and enjoy life while saving money and living with in our budget. Be an informed consumer. Watch for discounts, use coupons, limit needless spending, and enjoy you-self while you continue to save money.

Coupons can be really awesome if you have the gift to become aware of all the promotions and deals and work it all to your advantage. I know first hand of a person whom has went through the check out line and received cash back after presenting coupons in conjunction with other promotions offered at the store.Be informed of whats going on and saving money will be easier than you thought.

Watch for specials or ways to group a meal together when eating out. Ordering water in itself will save money when the check arrives. Beverages add up fast, have your favorite beverage at home as often as possible.

The budget must allow for entertainment, don't cut things out entirely just cut down. If we deprive ourselves it is just a matter of time until our budget fails and saving money is just something we need to start doing again.

Research all areas that you spend money and prioritize spending. If cuts must be made start with the least important spending. An example would be stopping for a coffee and bagel each day on you way to work.

Review interest rates annually to assure you are not paying more than you have to.Don't hesitate to make a change if it saves you money.

Get quotes on insurance, auto and homeowners are very competitive and vary without notice. I have to save money wherever possible to live with in my budget. A phone call could save money.

Conserve electricity and other utilities. I lowered my cable bill to save money as well. Operating with in a budget will bring financial stability.

Phase two

If you managed to bring your spending in the 80% range my hat's off to you. The hard part is over. Now what to do with the remaining 20% of the money you have coming in ? Put 10% in savings and give 10% to church.

Saving money and the idea of a budget is simple enough to explain. I have tried this plan and my life has never been better. I also tried it by putting the other 20% in the bank and forgetting the church. It just doesn't work.

God doesn't need our money. The giving of 10% shows my faith and gratitude for all I have.God has given me all I have, so I gladly give 10% back as a show of faith. Try it, if I'm wrong you can always go back to your way.

This budget is simple, but works for me and everyone I have spoken with that has done it as suggested.
