For this recipe you will need:
1 Box of Red Vanilla Wafers
1 Container of Marshmallow Fluff
1 Small Bottle of Blue Food Dye
First start by setting your desired amount of red vanilla wafers with the rounded side down on a platter or plate (remember to save enough wafers to put on top of each when you are finished).
Then spoon out 1/3 of the marshmallow fluff and place into a bowl. Squeeze two or three drops of blue food dye into the marshmallow fluff that you have placed into the bowl and mix until the color is consistent. You can keep adding more food dye 2 drops at a time until your desired color of blue is achieved.
After you are done mixing, you have all of the ingredients you will need.
On each red wafer place one layer of your desired thickness of white marshmallow fluff. This is easily achieved with a rubber spatula or butter knife.
After you have layered each wafer with white marshmallow fluff, make a layer of blue marshmallow fluff on top of the white layer.
Once the blue layer is done, add one more layer of white marshmallow fluff on top of the blue layer and top off with a red vanilla wafer.
If the marshmallow fluff overlapped the cookie, especially if you pushed a little too hard when putting the top wafer on, simply run around the outside edge diagonally with a butter knife or rubber spatula to remove the excess.
You are officially done and your finished cookies should have red, white, blue, white, red layers of colors. This way no matter if you are looking from the top down or the bottom up your cookies are red white and blue.
