Lighted Christmas Wreath
Get a balsam wreath and a strand of battery-powered LED Christmas lights with a wire that matches the color of the wreath. Carefully wrap the strand of lights around the wreath. Gently pull it slightly tighter, but not too tight. Work the wire into the wreath so that it is hidden but the lights are still visible.
Christmas Ornament Wreath
Find some old glass ball Christmas ornaments that no longer look their best. If you don't have enough ornaments, check your local thrift store to find more. Also get a straw or foam wreath base, a hot glue gun. Wrap the wreath base with 2 inch wide Christmas ribbon, then attach the glass ball ornaments with hot glue. You can also add other recycled ornaments such as small stars, snowflakes and bows to fill in gaps in your Christmas wreath design.
Berry Christmas Wreath
Get a grapevine wreath, some fresh or artificial red winterberry stems and some brown floral wire. Insert the winterberry stems into the wreath base, then secure them in place with the floral wire. Continue adding winterberry stems in a decorative spiral pattern. Make sure that the winterberry stems all go in the same direction, and allow them to extend out slightly from the wreath base.
Snowman Christmas Wreath
Get a balsam wreath and some small Styrofoam balls in three different sizes. Attach the balls together with hot glue to make little snowmen. Insert toothpicks or twigs into the center foam section to make their arms. Cut tiny mittens from felt and attach them to the ends of the toothpicks or twigs with hot glue. Using acrylic craft paint, paint on black coal eyes and mouths and orange carrot noses on the snowmen's heads. Tie small ribbons around their necks to mimic scarves. Attach the snowmen to the wreath with hot glue. Also attach bows and small glittered plastic snowflakes to the wreath between the snowmen.
