Easy Hollywood Party Theme

A Hollywood party theme suits all kinds of celebrations. We all love the escapism, glitz and glamour of Hollywood. We want to be our favorite star, we sometimes wish we were in a blockbuster movie and we wish we had the lifestyle of the stars too. A Hollywood party theme can give you that special feeling and set the scene for the most amazing party. The party will suit all ages and all occasions for celebration. You do need to work hard and be sure to provide an outstanding venue that really does reflect a glitzy Hollywood night. However if you can carry it off your guests will love it.

The occasion can be a retirement, birthday, graduation, sporting success or any other celebration. For example, at a graduation party imagine the feeling of success and achievement heightened by the thrill of a Hollywood party.

There are lots of ways of having a brilliant Hollywood party. What is right for your party will depend on the guests who are attending. The age range of the guests may determine how you do it. Also if the group are fans of a particular movie, like Star Trek, then that would determine hw you set the party up. Another factor may be guests who are amateur actors, they will love to be involved in acting out scenes from a famous film at a party. Lastly guests may be interested in a particular era of Hollywood depending on their age perhaps.

A graduation party in our town for a mature group at graduation chose a Hollywood theme. They decided to go all out and make it a 1930s Hollywood theme. As a team they worked very hard to find the Art Deco prints, fake 1930s signposts with Hollywood Boulevard, and all the other decorations they needed. Fortunately there are excellent supply stores who had red carpets to rent, lots of 1930s style decorations and posters. The group created their own Hollywood Oscar style posters to advertise the party. The simplest part was to find the music and create the buffet style food. They used a local hotel as the venue. The hotel helped them create a brilliant Hollywood entrance. A neat touch was the stars in the led up to the entrance with photos of the graduates on them. They lined the red carpet. For this mature group they clearly enjoyed getting into glamorous costumes as they dressed as their favorite stars. There were lots of bland starlets and also a few Cary Grants and Clark Gables. What was also excellent is they played 1930s movie clips all night. As it was an awards night everyone got some kind of award, some of them were outrageous.
